What our Participants are saying...
I have been personal training with Krissi Brewster for over three years.
I was diagnosed with a chronic health condition not long after commencing personal training. Krissi worked with me to begin the long process of regaining my health.
Krissi encouraged me to push myself to achieve more and her encouragement has led me to realise that I now have the confidence and courage to make changes to my lifestyle. These include more exercise and changing how I view food. I think very carefully about what food I eat, its calorie/kilojoule value and the size of the serving. I am even doing Bootcamps and spin classes regularly!
While these changes may seem minor for some, for me they have been huge. I have pushed through the discomfort of painful knees (netballer’s knees!) and being overweight, and I am running now, for the first time in 30 years. |
 |
Krissi motivates me to set realistic and achievable goals and works to assist me in meeting my target. My overall fitness has increased and I am enjoying doing more exercise. So far in the 15 weeks since the beginning of December 2007 I have lost 11.7 kgs, 4% body fat and 11cm off my hips.
Krissi is not only my personal trainer but is also my motivator, she gives me praise when I need it and tells me I can do better when I doubt myself.

This has been a huge year for me with regards to exercise. I have gone from not even running for the bus to completing the City2Surf and a number of other fun runs (which I used to think was a contradiction of terms!!!). I’m about to start my third Group Outdoor Fitness Challenge for the year and I am really looking forward to it, which is an amazing physical and attitudinal shift.
From the Group Outdoor Fitness Challenges to the running program to personal training, I have been constantly and consistently challenged and 1-2-1 Personal Training has provided me with incredible encouragement to keep pushing, to work harder, to reach my fitness goals and to then set new ones. Training with 1-2-1 Personal Training has made exercising fun and I have never doubted that my physical safety and comfort while training with you has been your priority. |
I really appreciate the briefings given before each session and the different tasks and activities provided to keep me motivated. With regards to the running program, I really enjoyed the different types of running and the variety of locations at which we ran. My results were so much better than I could have ever imagined!
Through the group activities I have met many fabulous people that I am now privileged to call friends and to train with regularly, which provides me with additional motivation. I have joined the ACT Cross Country Club and have participated in events that I never even knew existed, such as the monthly women’s Jogalong at Weston Park and, instead of sleeping in on the weekends, I now often get up to meet the ladies for a run.
I also love Personal training with Krissi, and I love the setup that you have in the studio. It’s a great space with everything I need, and being able to shower afterwards is a real bonus.

When you hear the word boot camp do you think of fun? I completed my first boot camp with 121 personal training and had the most amazing experience.
The sessions were structured with a different activity each day and all the activities could be completed by anyone of any level of fitness. There was so much encouragement by the staff plus the participants as we worked in a team and helped motivate each other.
My fitness levels have improved and reached the goals I set out to achieve. It was challenging, rewarding, and also FUN!
The staff are knowledgeable and are there to assist you get the maximum benefit out of each session. |
I can definitely say I got my money's worth and wouldn't hesitate to join another boot camp with 121 personal training - I know I will be well looked after.

I really enjoyed participating in the
Group Outdoor Fitness Challenge.
I was a little apprehensive that I wouldn't
be fit enough to participate in the challenge, but I found
that you had designed a program that catered for all of
us, taking into account our abilities and / or injury
status. Seeing the sensitive way you handled people who
had injuries the first session was confidence inspiring.
When we did the interval running I was worried again,
as I have never liked sprinting, but the session allowed
me to participate at my level without feeling self-conscious
about being a slow runner. I ended up really enjoying
that session.
I loved the professional approach and the
fact that you took the time to discuss safety with us every
session. The sessions were varied and interesting and, more
importantly, fun. Doing the tests at the start and at the end
meant that we could measure our improvement, which was a great
motivator. |

I learned that I could push myself even harder
than I thought, which I've taken across to other fitness activities.
I ran 10.5 km on Saturday without stopping to walk and I used
the fact that I had learned to tough it out during the Fitness
Challenge to get me through the last 2 km.
Thanks so much to both of you.
